One of the most unique historical experiences available from Porto.
This full-day experience takes you deep into the eastern landscapes of Portugal, to the Côa Valley, home to one of the most important collections of open-air Paleolithic rock art in the world.
After an early pick-up at your accommodation, you will travel towards the Spanish border through rugged and remote terrain. Upon arrival, the experience continues with a guided 4x4 excursion into the valley, where you will access protected archaeological sites.
Here, you will observe engravings of animals such as horses, goats and cattle, carved into rock surfaces over 20,000 years ago. The tour also includes a visit to the award-winning Côa Museum, a modern architectural landmark overlooking the confluence of the Côa and Douro rivers.
