After pick-up at your accommodation, you will travel through the Douro’s elevated plateaus, where cooler temperatures and unique conditions create the ideal environment for sparkling wine production.
You will visit a premium estate specialising in traditional-method sparkling wines, where you will learn how the méthode champenoise is adapted to the region’s terroir. The visit includes a walk through the vineyards, access to ageing cellars and a guided tasting of different sparkling wine styles.
Throughout the journey, your driver-guide will include scenic stops at viewpoints that reveal a different perspective of the Douro landscape.
